Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers

The Philadelphia Flyers have a big chance to prove their worth as one of the top teams in the Metropolitan Division against the New York Rangers.

Philadelphia has been great as of late, winning five or their past seven games and suffering just one of its two losses in regulation.

They are tied with the Los Angeles Kings for the seventh-fewest goals against since the NHL All-Star Break while their 13th-ranked offense in the same span is running at a potent 3.29 goals-for per game.

But the team on the other side of the ice will present a big challenge.

The Rangers are 9-1-0 in their past 10 games and own the third-best recording the NHL at 38-16-3.

With eight-straight wins to start the month of February, New York is at the top of many NHL power rankings around the hockey world.

The Rangers are favored to win Saturday night’s clash of Metropolitan Division giants with -135 odds to win.

Philadelphia, who hold a seven-point lead for third-place in the Metropolitan Divison, have +115 odds to take home two points.

For hometown Philly bettors, there could be a solid return for backing your squad.

Rangers forward Chris Kreider has been on fire as of late, scoring six goals and nine points in his past eight games.

New York’s most reliable elite goal scorer is always a safe bet to score in any given contest.

Kreider has +155 odds to score a goal and +5500 odds to score a hat trick, for those who believe the Rangers are in for a big night.

Owen Tippett has three goals and five points in his past seven games and could find himself back on the score sheet on Saturday.

He is +160 to find the back of the net against the Rangers.

Meanwhile, both the Flyers and Rangers have been two of the best teams at keeping the puck out of the back of their net as of late.

As stated before, the Flyers have the seventh-best defense since the start of February.

The Rangers, meanwhile, have the third-fewest goals-against per game in that same span with an even 2.00.

With the Over/Under of the game being set at 6.5, the under — which is set at -134 — has a pretty good chance of hitting.

A parlay containing a Flyers win, a Kreider goal, a Tippett goal and the under hitting has +3000 odds of hitting.

This means that a $10 bet would net you $310 in winnings.

Whatever you do to go with your Saturday afternoon hockey action, we hope you bet safely and have fun.
