In Thursday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • If the Ryan Johansen injury is serious, the Philadelphia Flyers aren’t going to be too happy when the offseason rolls around in a few months.
  • After being eliminated in the KHL playoffs, Alexei Kolosov should be able to join the Flyers any day now; here’s why fans should be excited for the Belarusian goaltender.
  • Tuesday’s Flyers game was not a clean one by any means, but the Orange and Black got it done. The real season starts now.
  • If you are not familiar with Marcus Sylvegard yet, you should be; the stud Swedish winger could be on the Flyers’ radar.
  • Flyers head coach John Tortorella is set to serve the second and final game of his suspension on Thursday night. He’ll be eligible to return to the bench on Saturday.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • The NHL trade deadline is now strongly in the rearview mirror, but there are still implications for every team. The Nashville Predators, for example, can only recall players from the AHL three more times this season. That’s it.
  • Jake Allen was traded to the New Jersey Devils at the deadline, but he did block another Montreal Canadiens trade earlier in the season by using his no-trade clause.
  • Very quietly, Sidney Crosby is eligible to extend his stay with the Pittsburgh Penguins starting on July 1. What should his next contract look like, and perhaps most importantly, how much term should he get?
  • Losers of six straight, frustrations are starting to boil over for the Detroit Red Wings; Ben Chiarot and Lucas Raymond got into quite a tussle at practice on Wednesday.
  • SJHN+: The San Jose Sharks got prospect David Edstrom from the Vegas Golden Knights in the Tomas Hertl trade; what do scouts think of Edstrom and his game?
