In Saturday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • After making an ill-advised, amateur mistake on Thursday night, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle was suspended one game for slashing Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny.
  • Only hours before that news broke, Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway was questionably fined for embellishing against Boston in last week’s March 23 game; the NHL had apparently already issued him a warning once in January.
  • Completing a shocking turn of events, Flyers goalie Ivan Fedotov met up with the organization and delivered a press conference entirely in English, officially announcing his arrival in Philadelphia.
  • Carchidi: Despite the Flyers‘ disappointing and frustrating loss to Montreal on Thursday, they are still very much in pole position to secure a playoff spot.
  • In case you missed it, Flyers goalie prospect Alexei Kolosov is going through the visa and immigration process and could be the next KHL goalie to be integrated into the organization.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • A bad season for the defenseman just gets worse; Pittsburgh Penguins rearguard Ryan Graves is now out indefinitely with a concussion as the Pens’ playoff hopes are all but nil.
  • With Fedotov joining the Flyers, KHL club CSKA Moscow reportedly plans to target Colorado Avalanche goaltender Ivan Prosvetov as his replacement.
  • The New Jersey Devils’ season is all but over now; star Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson had a historic game to put New Jersey down for good.
  • After undergoing back surgery and a rigorous rehab, it looks like Boston Bruins winger Pat Maroon is trending towards making his debut donning the Spoked B.
  • The Nashville Predators completed a huge signing on Friday afternoon, inking star defense prospect Ryan Ufko to his entry-level contract.
