In Tuesday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

  • Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella laid into the team after Monday night’s awful loss to the visiting Islanders, saying that they “don’t have the balls” to play in games as meaningful as this one was.
  • On the bright side, goalie Ivan Fedotov made his Flyers debut after starting the second period in the net and ended up playing really well. “He’s the only guy that played,” according to Tortorella.
  • Perhaps one of the Flyers’ better players in the loss, defenseman Jamie Drysdale made his return from injured reserve following a length absence due to an upper-body injury.
  • With all five years of his NCAA career in the books, Flyers prospect Bryce Brodzinski is now free to sign an entry-level contract and turn pro.
  • Although it doesn’t account for Monday’s loss, here are the latest Flyers playoff odds as we head down the home stretch in South Philly.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

  • Thanks to the help of underrated New Jersey Devils prospect Ethan Edwards, the University of Michigan is advancing to the NCAA Frozen Four.
  • Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby has officially tied one of Wayne Gretzky’s countless NHL records, and he and Gretzky are the only two in this specific category.
  • Goaltending in the NHL isn’t an easy job, and it’s quite delicate. Just look at the Montreal Canadiens and Cayden Primeau.
  • With a monster win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Detroit Red Wings are back within a sniff of an Eastern Conference wildcard playoff spot.
  • Farther west, the Colorado Avalanche dropped a clunker against the Columbus Blue Jackets, threatening their chances of winning the Central Division.
