In Friday’s edition of Bailey’s Daily, we’ll be talking the latest Philadelphia Flyers news, NHL news, stories, highlights, and more from the last day.

Flyers News

Should the Philadelphia Flyers trade up in the 2024 NHL Draft? With two first-round picks this year, anything is possible, but the risk may ultimately outweigh the reward this early in the process.

Who’s up next for the Flyers? Our first mock draft of 2024 comes with a few favorable surprises, complete with updated draft slots and draft selections for each team that has a pick in the first round.

Don’t blink, because we have another twist to the Matvei Michkov saga; the personal trainer of the Flyers prospect offered a very interesting comment on the idea of his client coming over to North America this summer.

In case you missed the results of the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery, the Flyers are standing pat and keeping the 12th overall pick; not a single team moved up or down in the lottery drawings.

In case you missed it, the Flyers missed out on a golden chance to get into a position to draft a future star like Ivan Demidov, who also happens to be close with Michkov.

NHL News from National Hockey Now

According to a report, the New Jersey Devils are interested in interviewing the recently fired Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe to potentially fill their head coaching vacancy.

Former NHLer Mike Rupp spoke very highly of the David Pastrnak fight with Matthew Tkachuk, passionately declaring the Boston Bruins “can move mountains with that shit”.

Despite a late comeback, the Colorado Avalanche were ultimately staved off by the Dallas Stars to take a Game 2 loss. Some Avs players weren’t especially happy about Jamie Benn’s high hit against defenseman Devon Toews.

This one won’t help the Devils rumors: Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan should, in fact, be on the hot seat this offseason.

How are the Montreal Canadiens doing in their rebuild so far? Let the numbers show, the defensive core still needs a ton of work.
