- The Philadelphia Flyers started off strong against the Seattle Kraken on Friday night, but all the air escaped from the balloon by the middle of the second period. Still, it was an admirable effort to secure a point on a back-to-back on the West Coast. [Flyers recap]
- The Flyers might have unearthed the next great Russian goalie, with yet another sizzling week from a 2023 draftee. [Yegor Zavragin]

- Colorado Avalanche defenseman, Sam Girard, is returning to the ice and will play for the Avs on Sunday. After practice on Saturday, Girard opened up about his decision to step away, and explained the transparency in the statement he gave when doing so. [Colorado Avalanche]
- Nico Daws shined for the New Jersey Devils in their win over the Ottawa Senators, and suddenly, they’re back in a playoff spot. The Metropolitan Division has had some weak goaltending, and maybe it wasn’t such a surprise to see Akira Schmid get sent back to the AHL after all. [New Jersey Devils]
- Sasha Barkov delivered three assists for the Florida Panthers for the second time in as many games, tying him with Jonathan Huberdeau (415) for the franchise record. [Florida Panthers]
- Evgeni Malkin, who surpassed his idol, Sergei Fedorov, for the second-most goals by a Russian in NHL history, has his eyes set on No. 500. Malkin also revealed the message Alex Ovechkin sent him in jest after he caught Fedorov. [Pittsburgh Penguins]
- The Nashville Predators recalled Yaroslav Askarov on an emergency loan to back up Juuse Saros, even though they had an empty space on the roster. Why? [Nashville Predators]
