Flyers Training Camp Dates and NHL Key Dates Set

The Philadelphia Flyers’ long offseason is nearly over. The Flyers last played on April 13, but next season has a starting line.

The Philadelphia Flyers’ rookie camp will start with on-ice workouts Thursday, Sept. 14, in Voorhees. The Flyers’ main training camp will begin at week later, with on-ice workouts Thursday, Sept. 21.

The exact schedule will be released at a later date.

Here are some other key dates for the Flyers and the National Hockey League this season:

  • Flyers vs. Rangers in Rookie Series at PPL Center, Allentown: Friday, Sept. 15, 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 5:05 p.m.
  • NHL preseason opens: Saturday, Sept. 23, Sunday, Sept. 24, Coyotes vs. Kings, at Melbourne, Australia
  • Flyers’ preseason opens: Monday, Sept. 25, at Devils
  • Flyers home preseason opener: Saturday, Sept. 30, vs. Devils
  • NHL season opens: Tuesday, Oct. 10
  • Flyers’ regular season opens: Thursday, Oct. 12, at Blue Jackets
  • Flyers’ home opener: Tuesday, Oct. 17, vs. Canucks
  • Heritage Classic: Sunday, Oct. 29, Flames vs. Oilers at Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton
  • Global Series Sweden: Nov. 16-19, with the Red Wings, Senators, Wild and Maple Leafs competing in Stockholm
  • Winter Classic: Monday, Jan. 1, Golden Knights vs. Kraken in T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners
  • All-Star Weekend: Feb. 2-3, at Scotiabank Arena, Toronto
  • Stadium Series: Saturday, Feb. 17, Flyers vs. Devils, at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J, 8 p.m.
  • Stadium Series: Sunday, Feb. 18, Rangers vs. Islanders, at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J. 3 p.m.
  • UPDATED PER NHL — March 8, 3 p.m.: Trade deadline
  • April 18: End of regular season
